What’s stopping you?
What is stopping you getting what you want?
Money, time, commitments, energy, other people, fear, lack of skills or knowledge?
Or are you not sure what you want, just something different from what you have?
Have you been told that all it takes is to send out your desire to the universe with enough passion and the universe will give you what you want? So, would that mean that if I don’t get what I want, it’s my fault for not sending out my desire with enough passion?
No guarantees
What’s stopping so many of us is that we are waiting for a guaranteed result.
“Will doing that course mean I’ll get that job?” “Will exercising for 10 weeks really make me lose a stone?”
We don’t want to hear that there are no guarantees. In life, there is always the chance of success, failure or a bit of both. Even in this modern world, there are freak accidents, unfairness, amazing luck and people who turn misfortune into a golden future.
No one can or should promise that what they are selling will give you everything you want. Not only is it unlikely that they can, but also what would you do with the rest of your life once you got it?
How to get around what’s stopping you
Look at what you want and what you have.
Perhaps you need to take that risk, but perhaps you need to stop and appreciate what you already have and what you might lose.
Maybe what you need to change is your attitude or maybe you need to change behaviour or location.
Make a choice with your heart and your head.

Accept what you can’t change, change what you can
There are some things that you cannot change–so learn to accept them. Some things, like other people, you can influence, either by changing your behaviour or your attitude. Study what you are doing and what works. Do less of what doesn’t work, more of what does and stop doing what takes you backwards. Notice the good things, make more time for things that lift you.tudy what you are doing and what works.
