Recently I relearned how valuable it is to pause and be mindful.
The last three weeks were stressful as we had a family bereavement and there was also a great demand for mediation.
In my work, it’s important to sort things out swiftly and compassionately for clients. In trying to support family, clients and workload, I stopped listening to my own advice. I was so busy, helping everyone, marketing, organising and generally trying to be superwoman.
Fortunately, I was reminded that I was human and the value of pausing and that’s helped restore balance.
It was a wonderful poem that made me stop and reassess what was important. Read the whole poem here.

Here is a tool to download A6 Pause Tool, which will help you to pause.
Here is a brief quote from that beautiful poem to remind you of how important it is to pause.
Don’t let your life be stolen every day by all that you’ve been led to believe matters, because on the day you die, the fact is that much of it simply won’t.
Yes, you and I will die one day. But before that day comes: let us live.
